Malaysia’s communications and multimedia equipment framework is overseen by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission, or MCMC. SIRIM QAS performs relevant certification activities within that framework. Equipment certification, product labelling and spectrum or operating permissions are connected topics, but they do not represent one interchangeable approval.

The product review should cover all embedded communications functions. A medical device, appliance, vehicle accessory or industrial controller can become a hybrid product when communications modules are integrated. Start with the finished configuration and its intended Malaysian use, then establish the applicable technical and administrative pathway.
