The current MST pathway.

Compare product functions and technical characteristics with the active MST requirements. Distinguish equipment requiring certification from categories following other conformity arrangements. Record each relevant QCVN and applicable edition so radio, EMC and other technical evidence are assessed against a consistent basis throughout the project.

• Map embedded radio functions and the finished equipment together.

TQC’s official guidance for applications from July 2026 describes Method 3 and Method 7. Method 3 combines representative type testing with production assessment and surveillance; Method 7 evaluates a defined batch. The appropriate route and any permitted assessment relief need confirmation for the particular application.

• Define whether the project concerns continuing production or one batch.

Plan representative samples and testing against the required technical regulations. Keep evidence of the sample’s origin and its relationship to the product submitted for certification. A practical technical comparison should explain changes in antennas, firmware, components or manufacturing sites before those differences appear as unresolved questions during review.

• Maintain a consistent hardware and software version record.

Prepare legal identity information and a clear technical description in the accepted language. Include relevant manufacturing quality information for the selected method. For batch assessment, connect the goods to the appropriate shipment or production records so the assessor can identify the exact population represented by the samples.

• Keep model names, photos and manufacturer details synchronized.

Certification and conformity declaration are distinct steps where the current rules require both. Review the applicable CR identification, Vietnamese product information and import quality requirements alongside certification. Keep marketing teams informed of what has been completed and what remains before the product can be released under the selected route.

• Review the final label against the approved technical scope.

Follow the actual certificate conditions and any required surveillance, rather than assuming one universal validity period. Changes to the assessed product, factory or batch definition need review. Preserve the technical file and correspondence so future model updates can be evaluated against the correct regulatory and design baseline.

• Monitor new technical regulations and transition arrangements.
